Checklist for your Future

 

World Class Scholars Seniors

 

Complete ALL of these items to qualify as a World Class Scholar by April:

 

·        Complete GHC Admission Application

(available at your counselor’s office or GHC; also in this packet)

                        Submit to the GHC Admissions Office – (360) 538-4030  (There is no cost.)

This is also considered your World Class Scholars Application -- complete even if you are not planning to attend GHC.

 

·        If you need additional financial aid to make it possible to attend GHC, contact your high school counselor or the GHC Financial Aid Office – (360) 538-4081.

 

·        Successfully take GHC Placement Exam (you must place at college level)

                        Take as soon as possible-must be taken before beginning school in the Fall.                   Call GHC Counseling Center – (360) 538-4099 for test appointment.

 

·        Complete portfolio of your years in Junior High and High School, including

ü      Transcripts showing 3.0 gpa at end of 1^st semester

                        (NOTE: 2^nd semester grades must also be submitted as school year ends)

ü      Community service hours – Minimum 50 hours documented

ü      Activities report sheet, resume

ü      Personal goals

ü      Prepare portfolio on computer to demonstrate these skills.

ü    Submit to your High School Counseling Office.

 

·        Students in Running Start MUST re-submit admission form to identify them as World Class Scholars, but they do not need to re-take entrance exam unless they did not place at college-ready level in all subjects.
