STUDENTS – if you know you are not planning to return to AHS next year, please see Mrs. Lonborg in the Guidance Center.
The annual Kurt Cobain Scholarship is coming up. Your artwork, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and artist’s statement are due on May 19 for judging. If you are a graduating senior, and want your work to be considered for this scholarship, contact either Ms. Day Waters or Mrs. Houk in the art department for more information.
There will be a meeting in Mr. Goings' room after school Thursday for the seniors doing the cancer walk. It's mandatory!
ATTENTION SENIORS – The yearbook staff is asking for all seniors to please bring in pictures for the Senior slide show. You can drop them off in the yearbook room 145 or give them to anyone on then yearbook staff.
REMEMBER!! Last chance to purchase yearbooks!!!!! (See Mrs. Norton in the office!!!)
There will be a FFA Chapter meeting Thursday, May 15th, during Advisory in Mr. Machowek’s room. Officer nominations will occur at this meeting so everyone is asked to attend.
Be part of the fun, be part of the solution for AHS by becoming a member of the Renaissance Action Team. If you are interested please pick up an application from Mrs. Krick in room 307. They need to be completed by May 15th.
Freshmen World Class Scholars, turn in your folders to the Counseling Center, no later than Friday, May 16th. NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 30th.
Grade-level speeches will be held May 19th & 20th during Advisory. Speeches will be in the following locations, then students will return to advisory to vote.
9th Grade in Auditorium
10th Grade in Auxiliary Gym
11th Grade in Commons
ASB officers will be speaking on Tuesday (if there are any contested elections). We will meet in Sam Benn Gym and then return to advisory to vote.
SENIORS: Grays Harbor Association of Realtors Scholarships -- Three (3) $1,200 scholarships are being awarded, this year, to seniors who qualify. Applications are now available in the Guidance Center. Pick up your application TODAY!
