Syllabus

  1. You need to be here everyday. You can't make up unexcused absences. (You don't want to get behind, because it's hard to get caught up.)

  2. 3 unexcused tardies cost you time after school, 6 tardies Saturday school and 9 tardies 3 days suspension.

  3. When I'm talking, nobody else should be talking. Raise your hand if you have a question.

  4. Quiet during study time. Use that time to get your work done. Conversations within your group.

  5. If you need to leave the room for bathroom, drink, etc. Check with me first and don't make a habit out of it. Use the hall pass.

  6. Don't throw anything paper, pencil, etc.

  7. Stay away from the windows. Don't throw anything out them.

  8. Sit in your assigned seats.

  9. When a substitute is in, be on your best behavior.

  10. Stay out of the closets.

  11. Be careful around the audio visual equipment, computers, etc. They cost a lot of money and I would hate to have to send your parents a bill for them.

  12. No candy, drink or food in class.

  13. No writing on desks. Those who do will stay after school and clean them all.

  14. Gum is ok, as long as I don't see it or hear it. I'll ask you to get rid of it if I do.

  15. Stay away from and don't write on the boards.

  16. Ask before you borrow things off of my desk.

  17. Bring you materials everyday to class. You will need paper, pencil, book, etc. All books will have book covers on them.

                                  Assignment

  19. You will need to have a notebook folder. You can get one from me for $.50.

Homework

  1. Given every night. You get time to on it in class. Use the time wisely.

  2. Worth 5 points. Graded on a 5-3-1-0 scale.

  3. Due at the beginning of class the next day.

  4. Counts about 50% of your total grade.

  5. If you get caught cheating, both people involved will get 0's that can't be made up.

  6. Group activities will be given periodically and your whole group will get the same grade unless I find or see someone not participating.

Tests and Quizzes

  1. Given about every other week.

  2. Counts for about 50% of your grade.

  3. If you are caught cheating, you get a 0 with an F and can't make it up.

  4. All test problems are just like the assignments. No surprises.
