2008 SENIOR NEWSLETTERSPRING 2008—Schedule of Events

 

               Baccalaureate—Sunday, June 8th  2:00 pm:

Baccalaureate is planned for Sunday, June 8, 2008-at the Rotary Log Pavilion from 2-4 pm.  This is not a required function for Seniors but all graduates are invited to be a part of this meaningful event.  

 

Senior Awards 2008—Tuesday, June 10th7:00 pm:

2008 Senior Awards Night will be at the AHS Auditorium at 7:00 pm. All Seniors are invited and encouraged to attend.  Seniors to be honored will receive an invitation to attend with their families.  

 

Graduation Practice—Friday, June 13th9:00 am:

Graduation practice is a required function for Seniors.  Seniors must be at Stewart Field on Friday, June 13th—at 9 am.  Those who do not attend practice will be placed at the end of the alphabetical seating arrangement at graduation.

                

               Breakfast &Yearbook Signing Party—Friday, June 13th11:00 am:

Seniors are invited to join classmates for Breakfast & ‘Yearbook Signing Party’ immediately following graduation practice on Friday, June 13th. The ‘party’ will take place at Stewart Field immediately after practice at approx. 11:00 am.  Seniors are reminded to bring yearbooks & pens.  If rain should occur, the ‘party’ will move indoors to the Stewart Building.

                                            

                              Graduation Ceremony—Saturday, June 14th  2:00 pm:

Aberdeen High School Graduation 2008 takes place on Saturday, June 14th at 2:00 pm at Stewart Field.  *Seniors are asked to arrive between 1:00- 1:15.  Families are asked to arrive early for best seating (gates are open at 1:30) and to be sure everyone is seated prior to the ‘Senior March’.  *Dress code for Seniors:  appropriate clothing & shoes—keep in mind, the ground is soft.  NO BEACH WEAR!  Caps must not be decorated!  Thanks for your cooperation.

 

                    Post Graduation Party—Saturday, June 14th —After Graduation:

All graduates and their families are invited to a ‘Post Graduation Party’ taking place in the Robert Gray Elementary School immediately after the graduation ceremony.  Refreshments and a picture area will be available.

 

                    Senior All–Night Safe & Sober Party 2008—Saturday, June 14th :

                                    The annual ‘All Night Safe & Sober Party’ after graduation is planned for all AHS seniors.  (Attendees must be confirmed & have all paperwork turned in to attend, Call Gina

                                     @ 532-7917) Bus departs promptly at 5:00. You must be at Stewart Field parking lot        by 4:30.  Final Deadline May 20th Additional information is available on the Bobcat website. 

 

            ‘Future Plans’ forms that are routed to Senior Advisory classes in May & due May 30th  to the Guidance         Center, are required by all Seniors.  This provides us much needed information for sending transcript                                               information to respective colleges and schools.  Thanks for getting this in on time!

               Fines (locks, books, sports gear, etc.) must be paid before you leave.  Diplomas may be held unless all fines are cleared.

               Transcripts can be requested by contacting the Registrar at Aberdeen High School. Transcripts are automatically forwarded to colleges and schools indicated on Senior ‘Future Plans’ form.
