Recent Activities:
28 students from Aberdeen and 11 students from Hoquiam traveled to Centralia Community College on Tuesday for the 5th Annual Latino Youth Summit, sponsored by the Hispanic Rountable.
Aberdeen High School Diversity Club is an ASB club whose members celebrate the different cultures of students represented at AHS and in our community. Any Aberdeen High School student is welcome to attend our meetings and events. Our first meeting is Thursday, Sept. 13th, 8am-8:30 am, AHS Community Room. This year, we have many activities and events planned. Come and join us!
Sept: Diversity Club Officer Elections, Harbor Heritage Festival
Oct: Booster Club Auction Fundraiser, Halloween Dance
Nov: Mix It Up Day
Dec: Bowl-Around-The-World, Candy grams
Jan: Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly for AHS Staff and Students
May: Cinco de Mayo Celebration
All of these events need members to help plan and make these events possible. We need your talents! In addition to coordinating activities, we need students who can represent Diversity Club positively at community meetings and functions, help with the design and maintenance of the Diversity Club web page, and assist with radio and other publicity for the club.
