Lessons and Objectives; to analyze and work with different ways of direct and indirect characterization; to word with using conversation and dialogue in writing; to watch a movie with strong characters and satire on fairy tales; to continue work on writers’ notebooks

Assignments:

Monday: Draw picture of a character. On the back, describe the personality through what people say about the character; how the character acts; and what the character says.

Tuesday: Give quotation paper ex. 2; go over use of quotations; paper due Wednesday.

Wednesday: Correct paper in class. Do quotation ex. 3 with starting new paragraphs for new speakers. Paper due Thursday.

Thursday: Watch “Shrek.” Watch for characters and satire on fairy tales.

Friday: Continue watching movie. Notebooks with 4 entries due for 6^th period.
