OBJECTIVES/EALRs:

·       Objective #1: Students will develop an awareness of the need to understand the implications of the methamphetamine phenomenon on society, economy, healthcare, and the judicial system.

·       Objective #2: Students will examine the growing drug population and the criminal justice system in order to develop an educated stance on the relationship between the two.

·       Objective #3: Students will compare the financial expense of drug use to help determine which alternatives are most likely and efficient.

o      State EALR: History #2 (2.1) Synthesize information and reflect on the findings.

o      State EALR: History #3 (3.2) Explain the history and impact of ideas and/or technology on society.

o      State EALR: History #3 (3.3) Analyze how historical conditions shape ideas and how ideas change over time.

ASSESSMENT: Daily assessment through required assignments.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Accommodations will be made on a need-based schedule according to disability.
