*Class Attendance (Handbook)
The student is responsible to attend all classes (unless excused school absences) and actively engage in the day’s lesson. The student’s attendance in the class is crucial to the student demonstrating proficiency in the subject. Excessive absence (more than 9 excused or unexcused) may cause the student to be ineligible to earn credit in the class.
Homework
Homework will be assigned every day. This homework may include, but may not be
entirely reading the newspaper or watching 1/2 hour of News on television. Additional homework may be necessary to meet
class objectives. Students are
responsible for homework and all other class requirements when absent. The school policy of one day of makeup for
each day of absence will be the standard used for timely completion of makeup
work. All class work will be due on the
assigned due date unless prior arrangement has been made with the instructor.
Materials
Students are required to bring a writing instrument and
paper to class each day. Additional materials
may be required for effective completion of work in this class. The instructor will provide students with
most basic materials ( colored pencils, rulers etc.). Students will be responsible for their
assigned textbook and will be fined for damage or misuse of this text.
