5 gallon plastic bags

5 quart plastic bags

5 sandwich size plastic bags

5 produce department style plastic bags

Candy/glucose

½ roll of kitchen plastic wrap

Fanny pack

Duffel bag/small pack

3 tall athletic socks

1 bed sheet (twin flat or bigger) – this will be cut up

1 foot width of 26” roll “hardware” cloth (1/4” squares)

Cutting your sheet:

-         Spread out your sheet

-         Cut one 40” x 40” square from a corner. Then, cut the 40x40 square into two triangles, by cutting it diagonally.

-         With the rest of the sheet, carefully rip the cut ends into:

o       Three 4” x 8 foot “rollers”

o       Three 4” x 4 foot “rollers”

o       Three 4” x 5 foot “rollers”

o       Four 4” x 6 foot “rollers”

-         Label each roller with your name and the length, and package them together

-         There should be a section of sheet left: pad your wire splint (below) with it.

Making your splint:

-         Cut two wire “splints” out of the Hardware cloth, so that each measures 4 ¼” by 28”. Make sure to cut all sharp ends off.

-         Place both wire splints on top of each other.

-         Tape them together on each end.

-         Use the left over sheet to pad the splint. Tape the padding on.

-         Pull athletic socks on over the splint over each end for extra padding.
